What is a water compliance?

Guidelines for Drinking Water Quality WHO 2020

Certification by Mark of Conformity is a document issued by a certifying body, in our case, IRAM, in which in addition to complying with the requirements for a Type Certification, in which it reports that one or more samples of a certain electrical product have been tested in accordance with a technical standard, and that these samples meet the requirements of that standard, the manufacturer must demonstrate the implementation of a quality control system in its production plant.

To comply with the certification requirements, the company has acquired two end-of-line full testing equipment (FTE). The purpose of these devices is to test certain aspects related to the electrical safety of the product in 100% of production.

The full test equipment (EFE) tests possible short circuits of the device, grounding resistance, insulation resistance, leakage current, withstand voltage (dielectric strength), and start-up, measuring the power consumed. At the same time, it is a data acquisition, processing, control and management system, which allows storing all the results in a database to later generate daily, monthly and annual production reports, statistical graphs, thus obtaining all the information and trends necessary for the administration of the production control system.

What is the sanitary quality of water?

These are the chemical, physical, biological and radiological characteristics of water that make it suitable for one particular use and not for another.

What are water parameters?

For example, the parameters to be monitored for the consumer tap are at least: odor, taste, color, turbidity, conductivity, pH, ammonium, coliform bacteria, E. coli, copper, chromium, nickel, iron, lead, free chlorine residual and combined chlorine residual.

Where is water fit for human consumption made?

Potabilization. It is carried out in the water treatment plant and is the set of treatments that make the water suitable for human consumption and can be drunk with guaranteed quality. Disinfection is the most important treatment.

Drinking water characteristics

The most important source of its contamination is the lack of adequate treatment of human, industrial and agricultural waste, so it is important to establish the necessary treatments and limits for different uses and activities, and thus ensure good water quality.

In the case of water for human use and consumption, we perform the parameters determined in NOM 127 SSA1 1994, which establishes the physical, chemical, microbiological, organoleptic and radioactive characteristics that a water intended for that use must meet.

We carry out the sampling and analysis of pool water to comply with NOM 245 SSA1 2010, which establishes the sanitary requirements that water must comply with in order to prevent and minimize health risks due to gastrointestinal, skin and other diseases caused by ingestion, contact and inhalation of pathogenic microorganisms and chemicals in pool water.

Therefore, it is necessary to control and monitor the sanitary conditions of operation and maintenance of the facilities, as well as the systematized monitoring of physicochemical parameters and microorganisms that determine water quality.

What is water optimization?

Optimizing water use is everyone’s business.

Finally, a large number of items require water at some point in their particular history. This is called the water footprint, which is the volume of freshwater that is used to produce a good or service.

What is health significance?

The importance of health systems in the state of health lies in the fact that diseases, depending on the timely and appropriate action of health services, can be prevented, diagnosed and, if necessary, cured in time without sequelae (under the influence of personal factors as well).

What is the importance of rational water use?

What is the importance of the rational use of water? Water is a renewable, limited and scarce resource. … We depend on water for living, for direct consumption, for food development, as well as for economic development. Lack of drinking water causes deaths, diseases and damages populations.

Specifically, in accordance with Articles 4 and 16 of Directive 2000/60/EC, the obligation is established to implement measures aimed at progressively reducing discharges, emissions and losses of priority substances and to stop or phase out emissions, discharges and losses of priority hazardous substances.

As a further step in the water protection strategy, and in compliance with Article 16 of this regulation, Directive 2008/105/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 December 2008 on environmental quality standards (EQS) in the field of water policy was adopted. Its purpose is to establish environmental quality standards for priority substances and other pollutants, with the aim of achieving good surface water chemical status.

As a complement to the regulation established to date in relation to the monitoring of water chemical status, Commission Directive 2009/90/EC of 31 July 2009 establishing, pursuant to Directive 2000/60/EC, the technical specifications for chemical analysis and monitoring of water status has been adopted.

What are drinking water quality parameters?

The parameters at this level are: thermotolerant (fecal) coliforms, Escherichia coli, apparent color, turbidity, odor, taste, temperature, pH, conductivity, and free or combined residual chlorine.

What are the water quality characterization parameters?

Water characteristics. Physical Turbidity, Color, Odor, Taste, Temperature, Solids, Conductivity. Chemical PH, Hardness, Acidity, Alkalinity, Phosphates, Sulfates, Fe, Mn, Chlorides, Dissolved oxygen, Fats and/or oils, Ammonia, Chlorine, Hg.

How is drinking water generated?

This involves boiling the water before consumption, a process that ensures the elimination of pathogenic microorganisms that may be found in the water, such as bacteria and viruses. Once the water has been boiled, it can be drunk or used to wash food since it can be considered potable.
