There are many procedures in Uruguay where you may be asked for the Certificate of Judicial Record, also known as Certificate of Good Conduct and Certificate of Police Record. The institutions that can ask you for this document are those of the State and the consulates, and it is the Ministry of the Interior the one in charge of issuing it and sending it to the addressee.

It is the document that certifies the existence or not of judicial antecedents in the national territory. The certificate is always issued, but in case of having a judicial record, the person will be notified.

The applicant can go in person to the office with an Identity Card and the precise indication of the destination of the certificate. Application for a police certificate of good conduct

The police certificate of good conduct must be applied for at the Federal Ministry of Justice in Bonn. The application forms can be found on the website of the Federal Ministry of Justice. Since the applicant’s signature on the form must be authenticated, the applicant must appear in person at the Embassy. Please sign the form until you are in the presence of the consular officer. The form must be sent to the competent authority in Germany at the applicant’s expense.

At the moment the fee for an authenticated signature is equivalent to 20 Euro and must be paid directly at the Embassy. The certificate of conduct itself has an additional cost of 13 Euro, which must be transferred directly by the interested party to the account of the Federal Central Criminal Records Office.
