Amwell telehealth services is a benefit available to medical plan participants. * Participants and covered dependents seeking non-urgent care on demand can connect with board-certified physicians 24 hours a day using their phone, tablet or computer.

Amwell is a faster, easier way to see a doctor. It allows you to have video visits with a 24/7/365 doctor. It’s easy to use, private and secure. It is free to sign up and the cost per visit is $20 for acute care visits.

Amwell can be used any time of the day or night. It’s perfect when your doctor’s office is closed, you’re too sick or busy to see someone in person, or even when you’re traveling. See how it works.

Pharmacy is included when you choose medical coverage.  Express Scripts is still our pharmacy provider.  The formulary with Express Scripts may change annually.  To avoid paying full price, review the 2020 Preferred Formulary and the Formulary Exclusion List.

Insurance: HIV/STI testing is free to all patients with or without insurance. An individual does not need to be an EBNHC patient for HIV/STI testing at Project SHINE. Uninsured patients who wish to take PrEP or who test positive for HIV will receive assistance in accessing Masshealth/Healthconnector. Uninsured patients who test positive for a bacterial STI can link to BMC or MGH for treatment. EBNHC accepts multiple insurances. Patients interested in PrEP at EBNHC/Project SHINE who have primary care elsewhere are encouraged to check with their insurance provider to see if EBNHC/Project SHINE is in-network and if the patient will need a referral from their PCP (for those with HMOs).
