What is a safety agenda?

Public Safety Agenda

This document is one of the results of our effort to produce knowledge, jointly between academia and community, on the security problems of the city, from the perspective of the communities most affected by violence and insecurity in the territories. This pedagogical tool also seeks to invite different social actors to dialogue on the meaning of security in a city like ours, and the need for a collective construction that we hope will lead us to improve security policies.

The European security agenda beyond 2030.

This is the Apatzingan Human Security Agenda of four, built with communities from four cities in Mexico: Tijuana, Apatzingan, Acapulco and Guadalupe, in the framework of a research project funded by the ESRC in the UK and the National Council of Science and Technology of Mexico through the Newton Fund. These three local Agendas and a National Human Security Agenda for Mexico were constructed based on the methodology of ‘co-construction of security from below’ that the Human Security Observatory of Medellin has been developing with academics from the Latin America and Caribbean Centre of the LSE. We also include a booklet that summarizes the results of the work carried out with the communities.
