Is Grand Teton worth visiting?

I

The rugged profile – it is one of the “youngest” geologically speaking mountain ranges in North America – and the huge mirror-like lakes at the base make this landscape one of the most beautiful in the United States.

The road from Jackson to Yellowstone via the Grand Teton is not much longer than the “normal” road and allows you to see one of the most beautiful landscapes of the Rockies. The Grand Teton is spectacular! Be sure to take the short boat ride from the Jenny Lake jetty across the lake to hike to a very, very beautiful waterfall.

And, replying to your post in another thread. Yes, it does get cold at night in Yellowstone. The weather varies, as everywhere, but as you are at 2500 meters above sea level almost all the time (although at many times it may not seem so because much of Yellowstone is a high plateau) you can expect high mountain temperatures. I once had a very heavy snowfall on the 4th of July. It’s not normal, but it can happen. And other summers I’ve been there, the temperature has been super nice… Nice warmth during the day and cool at night.

Visiting the Grand Teton is like stepping back in time, as the landscapes of this national park are perfectly reminiscent of the Old West. The majestic peaks of the Teton Range, the wildlife and the entire landscape itself make this considered by many to be one of the best national parks in the United States.

With this guide I want to help you plan your trip, so below you will find the must-see places to visit in Grand Teton. I also recommend that you take a look at our guide on where to stay in Grand Teton if you are spending one or more nights in the park.

Jackson Lake is one of the most popular lakes to see in Grand Teton. It is about 25 km long and is over 2000 meters above sea level, making it one of the largest and highest altitude lakes in the United States.

We are planning our trip for October visiting San Francisco, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Death Valley…etc, and Yellostone is very far away, about 1500 Km from San Francisco.

Surely it is worth it, I have never visited it, it all depends on the time you have, but if you see that you do not have time change it for yosemite, is what we did (in one day from san francisco early in the morning), sure you also seem imprersionante … to me it seemed to me ….

I finish the brick reiterating you that it is not worth going and I throw you an idea, do you know how many promotions there are for flights and stay two days in honolulu, leaving from LAX? I did it and I loved it, there I rented a harley and rode around the island and I assure you that it is an accessible caribbean.

I have been to Yosemite, where the pictures of the “Captain” are, also in Death Valley, Colorado, etc. If you have the time I think it will be worth it, although I have not been there due to lack of time.

Livingstone: don’t worry about it. In all the hotels you have wi-fi and curiously, free in the three and four star hotels and charging you in the five star ones, the better the hotel, the more they charge you.

Ep 56 – Mammoth Yellowstone and Glacier National Park

If you are traveling in the United States you may want to visit the Grand Teton. Grand Teton National Park is very close to Yellowstone National Park so the visit is usually done together.

The entrance fee to Yellowstone park includes the entrance fee to Grand Teton and vice versa. For $25 a car with all occupants can visit both parks during one outing. You can enter and leave the parks as many times as you want so it is usual to have accommodation outside them (it is cheaper and the distances are not excessive).
